After a one-week strike, workers at Compagnie des Bauxites de Dian-Dian (COBAD), RUSAL's Guinea subsidiary, returned to work on June 2.

Workers at COBAD went on strike on May 26 to demand better working conditions and higher wages.

A union leader said that workers’ base salary, housing allowance, and medical insurance have been increased by 5%.

Guinea is not only the second-largest bauxite producer in the world but also a major bauxite supplier to China.
