In February, China’s passenger car production dropped by 38.9% month on month and decreased by 25.8% year on year to about 1.27 million units. Meanwhile, the sales were about 1.33 million units, a month-on-month and year-on-year decrease of 37% and 19.4%, respectively.

During the same time, China’s domestic commercial vehicle sales were about 188,000 units, decreasing by 24.6% from the previous month and falling by 29.1% from the same month a year ago. Besides, the exports amounted to 62,000 units, dropping by 15.7% compared to the previous month and rising by 7.6% from the same month a year ago.

At the same time, new energy car output totaled 464,000 units, falling by 16% year on year. The sales amounted to 477,000 units, a year-on-year decrease of 9.2%.
