On March 26, a cargo ship struck the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, US, causing serious damage to the bridge. According to Maersk's announcement, the container ship in question was the "DALI", owned by Grace Ocean and managed by Synergy Group. Although no Maersk personnel were on board the vessel, five routes, TA2, TA5, TP12, Amex, and AGAS, were affected.

Maersk said that due to the severe damage to the bridge, it plans to suspend cargo that is already in transit at the Port of Baltimore. The cargo will be unloaded at a nearby port and transported by land to its final destination. However, the rerouting could cause delays for shipments to Baltimore. Maersk said it will closely monitor security conditions in the region while considering alternative shipping options.
