US crude oil inventories increase, international crude oil prices fall

International crude oil prices fell on May 30, declining for two consecutive trading days. United States Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported weak fuel demand and an unexpected rise in gasoline and distillate stockpiles.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for July delivery decreased by US$1.32 (1.7%), reaching US$77.91/barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for July delivery declined by US$1.74 (2.1%), settling at US$81.86/barrel.
