International crude oil prices rise as strong demand forecast

The United States raised its forecast for global crude oil demand growth this year, and international crude oil prices rose slightly on June 11. OPEC kept its forecast for strong global crude oil demand growth as optimistic about the tourism industry in the second half of 2024.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for July delivery increased by US$0.16 (0.2%), reaching US$77.90/barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for August delivery grew by US$0.29 (0.4%), settling at US$81.92/barrel.
