AGCO Corporation in Hesston, Kansas, will move some production to Querétaro, Mexico, starting in 2025 to streamline operations. This decision follows over US$28 million in upgrades at the Hesston facility since 2021. AGCO had previously furloughed 900 employees during these upgrades.

Aryn Drawdy, AGCO’s corporate communications director, stated that production of small square balers, round balers, and rotary mowers will shift to Mexico. Meanwhile, Hesston will continue manufacturing Massey Ferguson windrowers, large square balers, combines, and combine headers. The workforce impact is expected to be minimal, with no layoffs anticipated.
