JAMA: Japan’s automobile production falls, exports increase in Jan-May y-o-y

According to statistics from the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), in May this year, Japan produced 651,285 automobiles, including passenger cars, trucks, and buses, rising by 0.75% compared to the previous month and by 4.45% from the same month a year ago.

In the first five months of this year, Japan's automobile production had a year-on-year drop of 10%, reaching roughly 3.2 million units.

In terms of exports, Japan exported around 296,000 units of automobiles in May, a year-on-year decrease of 0.4%. The volume in the first five months reached approximately 1.65 million units, up by 2.5% year on year.
