Taiwan seizes opportunity: Screw exports to Mexico soar amidst high tariffs on China

20 Aug 2024 16:48 reported by Louise Wang

A A A
Taiwan's screw exports to Mexico are expected to benefit due to Mexico's final anti-dumping ruling against Chinese threaded steel rods, with tariffs as high as 91.22%. This could lead to increased orders for Taiwanese manufacturers.

Previously, Taiwan's screw exports to Mexico grew by 15.6% in the first seven months of the year, and Mexico is now Taiwan's sixth-largest export market.

The global automotive market's growth, along with Mexico's strategic advantages, is expected to further boost Taiwan's screw exports, potentially surpassing the record levels seen in 2021.
