Taiwan's screw & hand tool exports surge to two-year high in Aug

16 Sep 2024 14:31 reported by Stanley Wang

A A A
In August, Taiwan's screw and hand tool exports saw a significant rebound, reaching their highest monthly volumes in nearly two years. Export volumes surged to about 127,000 tons for screws and nearly 15,000 tons for hand tools, marking increases of 22.46% and 22.93%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. This growth was attributed to a sharp rise in demand from the US.

The overall export outlook for screws and hand tools is optimistic, with the market expected to stabilize, potentially even achieving slight growth, especially as the US implemented its first interest rate cut in over two years.
