Brazil’s pig iron exports rise significantly in Sep m-o-m

According to Brazilian customs statistics, Brazil’s pig iron exports amounted to around 308,000 tons in September, experiencing an increase of 40.7% compared to the previous month.

During the period, the exports were mostly to the US, totaling around 345,000 tons. Mexico, the Asian countries, and the Netherlands were also main destinations, with a separate volume of roughly 25,000 tons, 4,800 tons, and 4,500 tons.

The deliveries in September were mainly shipped by suppliers in the states of Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Mato Grosso do Sul, and Pará. Among them, deliveries from the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo occupied the largest proportion, with a total supply of approximately 304,000 tons.
