Brazil starts second AD review on low-carbon and low-alloy flat-rolled steel from 4 countries

Brazil’s Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC) initiated the second sunset review of the anti-dumping (AD) order on low-carbon and low-alloy flat-rolled products from China, South Korea, Ukraine, and South Africa, based on the application filed by Gerdau Açominas S.A. and Usiminas.

The products involved are low-carbon and low-alloy flat-rolled products from conventional or continuous casting, with a thickness equal to or greater than 4.75 mm and a width equal to or greater than 600 mm, regardless of the length. These products are commonly classified under tariff codes 7208.51.00, 7208.52.00, and 7308.90.10 of MERCOSUR Common Nomenclature (NCM).

The dumping investigation period is from January 2023 to December 2023, and the injury investigation period is from January 2019 to December 2023.
