International crude oil prices increase on Oct 21

The ongoing conflict in the Middle East continues to escalate, with some reports indicating that Israel will launch more retaliatory attacks. Market concerns about crude oil supply have arisen, increasing international crude oil prices on October 21.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for November delivery increased by US$1.34 (1.94%), reaching US$70.56/barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Brent crude for December delivery rose by US$1.23 (1.68%), settling at US$74.29/barrel.
