According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey's hot-rolled coil (HRC) exports amounted to around 1.84 million tons in the first three quarters of this year, soaring by 134% compared to the year-ago level. The export value was roughly US$1.2 billion, surging by 109% year on year.

Among them, the top three export destinations were Italy (around 539,000 tons, a year-on-year surge of 147%), Spain (around 230,000 tons, a year-on-year jump of 438%), and Egypt (around 207,000 tons, a year-on-year hike of 71%).

In September alone, Turkey’s HRC exports rose by 7% month on month and by 133% year on year, reaching approximately 226,000 tons. The value generated by these exports was roughly US$141 million, a month-on-month hike of 8% and a year-on-year growth of 118%.
