Japan's automobile output falls in Jan-Oct 2024

According to the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), Japan produced roughly 6.82 million units of automobiles from January to October 2024, including passenger cars, trucks, and buses, falling by 7.9% from the same period a year ago.

During this period, Japan sold about 3.7 million units and exported 3.45 million units, sliding by 7.6% and 3.9% yearly, respectively.

Japan produced around 817,000 units of automobiles in October alone, decreasing by 0.2% year on year.
