According to the China Passenger Car Association, China’s retail sales volume of new energy passenger vehicles reached around 1.3 million units in December 2024, a month-on-month hike of 2.6% and a year-on-year growth of 37.5%. Retail sales in 2024 amounted to around 10.9 million units, rising by 41% compared to the corresponding period in 2023.

In terms of exports, the volume reached 122,000 units in December 2024, soaring by 53% month on month and up by 21.5% year on year. The full-year exports amounted to 1.29 million units, marking a year-on-year increase of 24.3%.
