The Odisha government is set to establish a Rs. 4000 crore ship recycling hub near Paradip Port in collaboration with the Paradip Port Authority. This initiative aims to develop a significant center for shipbuilding and repair, boosting the region's maritime capabilities.

Additionally, the government plans to construct two new ports in partnership with private entities. These ports, to be located at Ichuri in North Odisha and Bahuda in South Odisha, are designed to handle around 40 million tons of cargo annually, enhancing the state's logistics and trade infrastructure.

Looking further ahead, Odisha's government has announced plans to establish a hydrogen production facility in the state by the end of 2026, demonstrating its commitment to advancing sustainable energy initiatives.
