Mexico starts AD investigation on China’s aluminum profiles and bars

On March 3, 2025, the Mexican Ministry of Economy (SE) announced the launch of an anti-dumping (AD) investigation on imports of aluminum profiles and bars originating in China, regardless of the country of origin.

The investigation was based on applications filed by Indalum S.A. De C.V. and Cuprum, S.A. de C.V., which claimed that the subject products from China were sold at below fair market prices in significant volumes, causing damage to the national industry.

The products involved are under tariff codes 7604.10.02, 7604.10.99, 7604.29.01, 7604.29.02, and 7604.29.99 of the TIGIE.

The dumping investigation period is from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024, and the period of the damage analysis is from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2024.
