IAI: Global alumina output slightly falls m-o-m in Jan

According to data from the International Aluminium Institute (IAI), global alumina production, including chemical and metallurgical alumina, totaled 12.83 million tons in January, dropping slightly by 0.17% compared to the previous month.

Among them, production from China accounted for the largest proportion, with an estimated output of 7.55 million tons, followed by Oceania with 1.537 million tons and Africa and Asia (excluding China) with 1.261 million tons.

Among them, chemical alumina output reached 719,000 tons, down from 736,000 tons in December 2024; metallurgical alumina output was 561,000 tons, unchanged from last month.
