The United States granted tariff exemptions for certain electronic products, and data showed a sharp rebound in China's crude oil imports in March. However, the market is concerned that the trade war could weaken global economic growth and impact demand for fuel, thereby limiting the price hike. International crude oil prices rose slightly on April 14.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for May delivery increased by US$0.03, reaching US$61.53/barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for the May delivery rose by US$0.12, settling at US$64.88/barrel.
