International crude oil prices increase on Apr 16

Markets anticipated a potential easing of the trade war between the US and China, with China possibly open to adjusting its attitude toward trade negotiations. International crude oil prices increased on April 16.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for the May delivery increased by US$1.14 (1.9%), reaching US$62.47/barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for the June delivery rose by US$1.18 (1.8%), settling at US$65.85/barrel.
