Taiwan's imports of 300 series hot-rolled stainless steel coil have increased for three months in a row, reaching 59,000 tons in March, a four-month high. However, import prices hit a one-year low.

In the first quarter of this year, cumulative imports slightly increased by 1.3% year on year to 167,000 tons, and import prices also experienced a rise of more than NT$1,000.

In terms of exports, the volume in March hit a historical low at 1 ton, contrasting sharply with a significant surge in January. Export prices rebounded in March after a February dip, although this was based on the quantity of only 1 ton.

In the first three months of this year, exports soared by 72% year on year to 639 tons, with export prices sharply increasing by over NT$29,000.
