Jindal Stainless: Tariff measures on stainless steel imports should be implemented urgently

Ratan Jindal, Chairman of Jindal Stainless, one of India's major stainless steel producers, has stated that India's stainless steel industry is facing increasing import pressures and urgently needs the government to adopt emergency tariff measures to address them. He stressed that low-priced imports from China and Vietnam continue to pour into many industries, including stainless steel, which seriously undermines the fair competition environment for local companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises.

On the other hand, Vijay Sharma, a Director of Jindal Stainless, said that the Indian Stainless Steel Development Association (ISSDA) plans to file an application for an anti-dumping investigation with the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) by the end of this month.
