Mexico’s billet production grows in Apr m-o-m

According to preliminary statistics from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) of Mexico, Mexico’s billet production totaled nearly 80,000 tons in April, rising by 22% compared to the previous month while falling by 4.4% from the year-ago level. The value generated by the output amounted to roughly 1 billion Mexican pesos.

In the first four months of this year, Mexico produced a total of approximately 289,000 tons of billet, a year-on-year decrease of 17%.
