Italian equipment supplier Danieli has finished building the "Walzwerk B" rolling mill for ESF Elbe-Stahlwerke Feralpi in Riesa, Germany, setting a new standard for sustainable and efficient steel production.

The mill connects directly to an existing conticaster via a 300-meter hot-charge roller table. It uses induction heating, eliminating traditional gas heating and achieving zero direct CO2 emissions. The mill features endless rolling with a Danieli K-Welder, which continuously welds billets for increased plant efficiency and reduced operating costs.

Equipped with 16 housingless stands and a six-pass finishing block, the mill includes a K-Spooler that produces deformed bars from 8 to 25 mm in diameter, twist-free spooled coils weighing from 2.5 to 8 tons.
