Honda Turkiye A.S. (HTR) announced plans to establish a new motorcycle factory in Aliaga, İzmir, to support growth in the motorcycle market and increase global sales. The move follows rising demand for personal and commercial transportation in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, which helped HTR reach a record 162,000 motorcycle sales in 2024.

The new facility is set to begin operations in mid-2026 with an initial annual production capacity of 100,000 motorcycles. Future plans include expanding output to 200,000 units. The total investment, including machinery and equipment, amounts to approximately US$20 million.

The project is expected to create about 300 jobs. Through this investment, Honda Turkiye aims to enhance local production and contribute to the development of Türkiye’s motorcycle industry by offering high-quality, affordable, and appealing products tailored to local and global markets.
