US issues preliminary results on subsidy review of South Korean welded pipe

The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) has announced preliminary results of its administrative review on the countervailing duty order covering large diameter welded pipe from South Korea for the period January 1 to December 31, 2023.

 

The USDOC determined that certain South Korean producers and exporters of welded pipe received countervailable subsidies during this time. The review was rescinded for 16 companies.

 

SeAH Steel Corporation was assigned a net subsidy rate of 0.41%, while Hyundai RB Co., Ltd, AJU Besteel Co., Ltd, Chang Won Bending Co., Ltd, Dong Yang Steel Pipe Co., Ltd, EEW Korea Co., Ltd, HiSteel Co., Ltd, Husteel Co., Ltd, Hyundai Steel Company, and Nexteel Co., Ltd were each assigned a rate of 0.79%. The final results are expected within 120 days of the preliminary publication.
