International crude oil prices fall over 3% on Oct 10

United States President Donald Trump announced on October 10 that the US will impose a full ban on rare earth mineral exports from China, adding a 100% tariff, and enact new controls on exports of critical software products. International crude oil prices plunged more than US$2 per barrel on October 10, marking a decline of over 3%.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for November delivery decreased by US$2.61 (4.24%), reaching US$58.90 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Brent crude for December delivery fell by US$2.49 (3.82%), settling at US$62.73 per barrel.
