Ukrainian Zaporizhkoks upgrades stacker No. 2

Zaporizhkoks, a Ukrainian coke plant under Metinvest Group, invested UAH 3.7 million in an overhaul of rotary-mobile stacker No. 2 in its coal preparation area. The modernized machine is now back in operation, capable of handling up to 450 tons of raw material per hour.

The upgrade involved comprehensive chemical and anti-corrosion protection for all components, significantly enhancing the equipment's reliability and safety. By extending the interval between major repairs by three years, the overhaul ensures process continuity in the coal preparation area and reduces maintenance costs.

The stacker No. 2 plays a vital role as a real conductor in the plant by automating material stacking. It creates neat stacks of coal even in limited spaces and under unfavorable weather conditions, thereby maintaining a continuous supply for the coke production process.
