Vardhman Special Steels Limited (VSSL) revealed a Rs 475 crore investment to construct a new forging and machining facility in Ludhiana, Punjab.

Through a technical partnership with Japan’s Aichi Steel Corporation, the project integrates the company’s existing steel-making with value-added component manufacturing. This expansion creates a one-stop solution for automotive OEMs, covering the process from raw steel to finished forged parts. The integrated operating structure delivers higher quality consistency and improved supply reliability.

Chairman Managing Director Sachit Jain said that the move meets rising customer demand and utilizes unique Japanese know-how. By expanding its portfolio, VSSL secures a stronger position in the global supply chain for clients such as Toyota, Hyundai, and Caterpillar.
