Jindal Steel aims to double structural steel capacity at Raigarh facility by mid-2028

To boost India's self-sufficiency in critical steel supplies, Jindal Steel is launching a major expansion at its Raigarh facility. The company plans to double its annual structural steel capacity from 1.2 million to 2.4 million tons by mid-2028.

This investment directly addresses a growing need within India's infrastructure and energy sectors for large, complex steel sections. By building a dedicated new rolling mill with advanced technology, the plant will be able to produce ultra-heavy profiles, significantly larger than its current output. This enhanced domestic capability is designed to reduce import reliance for projects in power generation, refineries, and high-rise construction.

Jindal Steel expects the expansion to solidify its market leadership while providing crucial material support for the nation's strategic development goals.
