Aya Gold & Silver Inc. (Aya), a precious metals mining company based in Canada, has reached an agreement with Morocco's National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) to acquire its 15% interest in the Zgounder project and five adjacent licenses to the Zgounder Silver Mine for 67 million dirhams.

ONHYM will retain its 3% royalty on the Zgounder property and grant a 3% royalty on new licenses’ production.

Aya has not only increased its ownership of the Zgounder project to 100% but also reviewed and evaluated other exploration grounds in Morocco.

Aya aimed to expand the production capacity to 2,700 tons per day. After reaching the goal, the annual production was expected to reach 6.5 million ounces.
