Ferroglobe PLC, a global leading supplier of silicon metal, silicon-based alloys, and manganese-based alloys in Spain, said it will resume silicon metal production at its 55,000-ton facility in Polokwane, South Africa in November this year, as a part of the company’s strategic plan to raise the capacity in response to the increased market demand.

The monthly initial production will be around 1,150 tons, and it will gradually increase to 3,750 tons by the end of the second quarter of next year.
