ArcelorMittal Liberia unveiled a cutting-edge iron ore concentration plant at its Yekepa concession in Nimba County. Valued at approximately US$1.7 billion, this project will become one of Africa's largest concentration plants. The first phase is expected to be completed by December this year.

CEO Josephus Cohen revealed that the plant will create significant employment opportunities for Liberians, with over 500 young Liberians currently training as mechanical engineers for future management roles. The facility, located at the base of Tokadeh Mountain, will enhance low-grade iron ore into high-grade through mechanical processing, with a projected lifespan of over 55 years.
