Brazil experiences m-o-m increase in Oct pig iron exports

According to statistics from the Brazil Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC), Brazil’s pig iron exports amounted to around 450,600 tons in October, experiencing an increase of 18.6% compared to the previous month and a drop of 6% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, exports to the US accounted for the biggest share, totaling around 421,000 tons. European and Asian countries imported Brazil’s pig iron with roughly 23,000 tons and 6,400 tons.

In the first ten months of this year, Brazil exported a total of approximately 3.2 million tons of pig iron, falling by 1.2% compared to the corresponding period a year earlier.
