Brazil’s pig iron exports see m-o-m increase in Dec 2024

According to Brazilian customs statistics, Brazil’s pig iron exports amounted to around 312,000 tons in December 2024, experiencing an increase of 54% compared to the previous month.

During the period, the exports were mostly to the US, totaling around 243,000 tons. Europe ranked second with 56,000 tons, followed by the Asian countries with 12,000 tons.

The deliveries in December were mainly shipped by suppliers in the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, where delivered a total of approximately 277,000 tons.
