The latest production and sales report of Vale showed that in the fourth quarter of 2024, the whole iron ore output of Vale reached 85.3 million tons (decreased by 5% year on year), and the iron ore sales volume in the same period was 81.2 million tons (decreased by 10% year on year).

According to statistics, in 2024, the annual iron ore production of Vale totaled 328 million tons, which apparently surpassed the company's previous goal to produce 310 to 320 million tons and successfully hit a 6-year high as well.

Meanwhile, the company's copper sector also performed well last year, since the annual production of the Salobo mine created a new record.

As for its nickel sector, the biggest good news is that the VBME (Voisey's Bay Mine Expansion) Project finished construction.
