Zanaga Iron Ore Company Limited (ZIOC), a company focused on iron ore exploration and development, has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Centrale Électrique du Congo (CEC) to explore power supply solutions for its Zanaga Iron Ore Project in the Republic of Congo.

The project had estimated resources of 6.9 billion tons, including 2.1 billion tons in reserves. Meanwhile, the project was planned to be developed in stages, with a long-term goal of reaching 30 million tons per year.

The partnership will evaluate technical, economic, and legal aspects of power generation and distribution to support the project's initial phase, targeting 12 million tons of iron ore annually.
