WBMS: Global refined nickel market experiences excess supply of 4,200 tons in Feb

A report published by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS) indicated that global refined nickel production reached 319,300 tons in February, with consumption at 315,100 tons, resulting in a surplus of 4,200 tons. Concurrently, global nickel ore production was reported at 32,700 tons.

In the first two months of this year, global refined nickel production totaled 638,500 tons, while consumption was 630,200 tons, leading to an excess supply of 8,300 tons. During this timeframe, global nickel ore production was 660,500 tons.
