OMC starts Dubna iron ore mines operation

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the Dubna iron ore mines and launched key IT and green energy initiatives during the 70th Foundation Day celebration of the Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC).

The newly inaugurated Dubna Iron Ore Mines, located in Barbil, Keonjhar district, has an annual production capacity of 3 million tons of iron ore and 0.05 million tons of manganese. The total reserves at the site are estimated at 25.77 million tons of iron ore and 2.6 million tons of manganese. Meanwhile, a 920 kWp solar power plant was unveiled across the mining areas in Barbil and Koira.
