China's scrap imports decline in H1 2025

According to Chinese customs data, China's scrap imports totaled approximately 133,800 tons in the first half of this year, decreasing by 5.32% compared to the same period last year.

Among them, imports in June were 19,400 tons, a month-on-month drop of 17.8% and a year-on-year increase of 32%.

Overall, China's scrap imports were on a downward annual trend, with monthly volumes showing considerable fluctuation.
