Brazil reports m-o-m growth in pig iron output in Jun

According to data from the Brazil Steel Institute (Instituto Aço Brasil, IABr), Brazil's pig iron production totaled approximately 2.24 million tons in June, a 5.6% growth compared to the previous month and a 0.4% drop from the same month in the previous year.

Pig iron exports in June totaled about 358,100 tons, up by 32.3% month on month and soaring by 70.3% year on year.

In the first half of this year, Brazil's pig iron output amounted to 12.9 million tons, a year-on-year hike of 0.2%; pig iron exports reached 1.8 million tons, up by 2.8% year on year.
