JSW Steel has partnered with the Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation (APMDC) to establish a joint venture named APJSW Private Limited. The new company will manage the Konijedu Marlapadu Integrated Iron Ore Project in Andhra Pradesh, focusing on the mining and beneficiation of low-grade iron ore.

JSW Steel holds an 89% equity stake in the joint venture, with APMDC owning the remaining 11%.

The project, with a planned investment of Rs 1,075 crore, aims to produce approximately 1.3 million tons of beneficiated iron ore concentrate annually. According to the company, this output will replace imported iron ore, leading to cost efficiencies for JSW Steel.
