Brazil’s pig iron exports plunge by 48% in Jul m-o-m

According to statistics from Brazil's Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX), Brazil’s pig iron exports amounted to around 288,000 tons in July, experiencing a sharp decrease of 48% compared to the previous month.

In the month, the exports were mostly to the US, totaling around 197,000 tons. European countries also received a big portion, with a total of roughly 45,400 tons, followed by Argentina with 44,000 tons.

The deliveries in July were mainly shipped by suppliers in the Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, where a total of approximately 176,000 tons were shipped.
