Vale, one of the largest iron ore producers in the world, announced that its iron ore output reached 94.4 million metric tons in the third quarter, representing a 3.8% year-on-year increase. This marked the highest quarterly output for the company since the last three months of 2018.

Vale stated that the performance growth was driven by the record-breaking output of its S11D mining project in northern Brazil during the third quarter, as well as increased production from other projects.

The company estimated iron ore output of 325 million to 335 million metric tons in 2025. In the first nine months of this year, total iron ore output reached 245.7 million tons. Meanwhile, its iron ore, copper, and nickel operations are trending toward the upper end of the 2025 production guidance range.
