Nordic Iron seeks permit to expand Blötberget mineral resources

Nordic Iron Ore AB (Nordic Iron), a Sweden-based mining company, has applied to the Swedish Mining Inspectorate for an additional exploration permit, Blötberget no. 7, near its Blötberget project. This move is based on promising drill hits discovered deep and laterally adjacent to the known mineralization.

The application confirms the area is of high interest for future exploration. If granted, the company plans to use core drilling to investigate the extension.

The overall exploration campaign, which began in late autumn 2024, aims to increase mineral resources by 35 million tons or more.

According to CEO Ronne Hamerslag, this is intended to significantly increase the mine's lifespan and improve the future profitability of mining at Blötberget.
