A A A
The Merafe Group, Glencore International, and Glencore Operations South Africa have agreed to extend their chrome ore marketing agreement until January 23, 2026.

The agreement, which initially began in 2014, appointed Glencore International as the exclusive chrome ore marketing agent for Merafe’s chrome Pooling and Sharing Venture (PSV) with Glencore Operations South Africa. Glencore International retains the sole right to sell the PSV's chrome ore production. In exchange, the PSV pays Glencore International a commission based on the sales revenue.

Merafe's portion of this commission remains 20.5%, reflecting its 20.5% participation in the PSV's earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA), with Glencore Operations South Africa bearing the remaining 79.5%. All other terms of the original marketing agreement remain unchanged.
