Mineral Resources Limited (MinRes) has officially opened a new production hub for the Upper Cane and Cardo Bore East deposits at its Onslow Iron project in Western Australia, marking a major milestone in the company’s flagship iron ore development.

Located about 16 km south of Ken’s Bore mine, the new hub will transport ore to Ken’s Bore’s crushing and processing facilities, then via a 150 km private haul road to Ashburton Port for offshore transshipment.

MinRes reported safe and smooth operations, noting that the new centers will be key suppliers for its high-demand blended ore products.

Designed under a pit-to-ship model, the project targets 35 million tons of annual capacity and a mine life exceeding 30 years.
