India’s NMDC has entered into a research agreement with the Colorado School of Mines to advance mining technology. This collaboration focuses on mineral processing, metallurgy, and integrating AI/ML into mining operations.

The framework establishes clear protocols for intellectual property sharing and implementation without granting any equity-based rights or board seats. NMDC confirmed that this academic partnership involves no related party transactions.

This pact aims to modernize traditional extraction methods through international scientific expertise and shared technical resources.
