OMC reports strong mineral production growth, targets record year

Odisha Mining Corporation Limited (OMC), a joint venture of the Government of Odisha and the Government of India to harness mineral resources, reported strong production growth in FY2025-26 with iron ore output reaching 24.88 million tons as of December 31, 2025.

Its total mineral production hit 29.03 million tons, boosted by a 31.5% year-on-year surge to 12.94 million tons in the third quarter. The state-owned miner credits optimized mining operations, digital systems, and favorable operating conditions for the performance.

OMC aims to surpass last year's total and achieve a record annual output. The corporation reiterated its parallel commitment to sustainable and responsible mining practices.
