Australia’s MinRes delivers first ore from Lamb Creek project

19 Mar 2026 16:38 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
Mineral Resources (MinRes), an Australian mining company, successfully loaded its first shipment of iron ore from the Lamb Creek project in the Pilbara Hub. This milestone occurred only three months after the company broke ground in December 2025.

CSI Mining Services, a MinRes subsidiary, now manages all mining, processing, and haulage at the open-pit site, which has an annual capacity of 7.5 million tons.

Located 50km from MinRes’ Iron Valley operation, Lamb Creek extends the hub’s production profile by more than five years. Products from both sites are blended and transported to Utah Point for export.

As the Wonmunna operation winds down, all staff members are transferring to Lamb Creek, ensuring no job losses within the division.
